Washington Butler, born in Puyallup Washington State, became fascinated by arts when she was an infant. She sang in choirs entered contests for singing and also performed in high school and community theatre. Following her move into Los Angeles, she studied theater in the University of Southern California and played Belle the princess in Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for an year and one quarter. While initially dissuaded by the nakedness of the film and its violence, the film's powerful female character and strong arc convinced her to play the character. Butler starred in Jennifer Hills as a writer who was brutally gang-raped at a cabin while traveling. Steven R. Monroe, the director of this film announced it on the 8th October 2010. Butler began the filming of The Stranger Within (a psychological thriller) in Mallorca Spain with Estella Ward as well as William Baldwin back in November 2011. In addition to New York City and Copenhagen, the film was scheduled for filming on location in Copenhagen Denmark. She also was part of the cast of Treachery which was a film starring Michael Biehn. The independent feature film was filmed in Los Angeles in early 2012. Butler was in The Demented (2013), that was written and directed by Michael Welch with Kayla and Michael Welch.
